I’ve called Grants Pass my home my entire life. I’ve been so fortunate to build a small business in this community, meet my wife and raise a family here. Josephine County is a wonderful place to live, work and serve.
For several decades now, I’ve been the proud owner and operator of local radio stations KAJO and KLDR. Through these stations, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with thousands of Josephine County residents and have employed dozens of hardworking Josephine County residents over the years. I’m especially proud of the fact that our business has been able to play an active role in supporting events like Boatnik, Back to the 50’s and other community events. Owning a small business is hard work, but one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Prior to taking up the family business, I served in the United States Navy. My service took me to the far side of the world and instilled values like hard work, honesty and integrity that keep me grounded to this day. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to serve our country and have a tremendous amount of respect for those in uniform today. I will always support our troops.
When I’m not spending time down at the radio station or visiting my grandkids, I’m in the State Capitol working to advance the priorities of our community. I’m serving for a second time as a member of the Oregon House. I previously served from 1998-2003, and returned to Salem again in 2014. My time in the Legislature has always been focused on creating new jobs and economic development opportunities in Josephine County, improving our education system and advocating for balanced budgets and reduced spending. I’m proud of my record as your State Representative and what we have been able to accomplish together for our community.
Serving as your State Representative in Salem has always been the honor of a lifetime. I look forward to continuing to advocate for our shared priorities in the State Capitol.
